A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

I wanted to share a bit of my personal story and journey here because I think it might shed some light on my mission as part of the PONGO team.

When my time began at PONGO back in 2010, I was thrown into an array of creative marketing work. But the primary weight of the work fell in children’s television; ranging from really young children all the way into tween watchers. There’s something uniquely special about speaking to children because they are a willing yet very discerning audience. After some time in the industry, I’ve had the pleasure of writing, editing and producing these pieces and thoroughly enjoy it.

Cut to present day and I’ve been a mom for 2 years now. While this doesn’t make me an expert (because who can ever be?!), I’ve got some serious kiddo-time under my belt. The good news? I already had a leg up in the kids’ programming world because of my time at PONGO. Remember how I said kids are a very discerning audience? My son is ‘numero uno’ in that category and I have the distinct pleasure of seeing his point of view on content available to him. Combine that with what I want him to watch and we’ve got something very special here.

It’s now become my focus, along with the team at PONGO, to hone in on children’s creative marketing. It’s a wonderful time in this special bubble because there is so much available to children – whether it’s watching something new or watching something for the 3000th time (if you know, you know). I believe that we at PONGO bring a special take on marketing for children – not only because of our 30+ years being this business – but because we personally care what is shining into these little eyes as well as the parental eyes watching over them.

It could also be that I’ve never really wanted to grow up and am truly a kid at heart. Who really wants to adult, anyway??

Dreamfully yours,
Hartley
